Cam Barnhill
My
name is Cam Barnhill and I currently live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am
married with one wonderful son, Chris who will own the Trans Am as of his
21st Birthday. I am currently employed in the Canadian Airforce and fly on
the C130 Hercules with 435 Transport and Rescue squadron.
My Dad always instilled a love of cars to me but I had an uncle who owned
a75 silver Trans Am that got me started with the Trans Am fascination. He
later owned a 79 Y-84 and black and gold 82 and 84 TA's. I would have to
say with those influences and going to see Smokey and the Bandit with my Dad
made me say one day I will own a 77 special edition TA.
My dream came true three years ago at Christmas when I found one in Lincoln,
Nebraska for sale and I was the first one to contact the owner and he was
nice enough to give me time to come look at it before he offered it up to
anyone else. I bought the car and towed it home to Winnipeg and have been
doing work on it since I got it home. The final stage will be the body and
paint work, hopefully starting next spring. I can't wait to get the car
completed and spend time with my son and the TA.
