Hi, can I interest you in my car ?....[ Not A S E but is a T/A from historic Pontiac ] it was imported u/k in 1983 as left hand but then converted to right hand drive making it a rarity in the u/k for a trans am even though rare because there aren't many here anyway and many that were have since rotted away and been scrapped [ sacrilege].   My car was teal blue originally as well and then went like a chameleon judging by the layers of colours I scrapped off it when I restored her.  it was a hard top but full option I would say as it had the air con fabric seats lecky windows alloys pulse wipers and even cruise, as well as heated rear window.  I have now decided after having several of these I would play with it ! as many I have had with 'it's tops always leaked and it was something I particularly wanted to fit...also I wanted some decent 'reclining' seats.  So I found a scrap Nissan 300 zx with 'IT'S tops and pinched the roof and the seats for the front, had them retrimmed with my original rears so all the interior matched. I cut the roof off and fitted the 'IT'S tops which are I'm sorry to say far better built than the fisher or hurst ones and lock in nicely with a cleaner finish. The drivers seat now reclines has bolster support and lumber also both fronts have retractable head restraints/rests which look good.  I have also trimmed all the dash panel and dashboard as this was fibreglass as when the car was converted to right hooker the just made a sloppy fibre glass mirror copy of the original ! mine looks good now with stitching etc all nicely done by the trimmer....

I have fitted a starter button in the dash instead of the ciggy lighter since no one will smoke in my T/A that's for sure and it has various lights and custom switches fitted as well as red lights in all 4 wheel wells and blue strobes in the side fender vents which all looks really something at night and gets admiration everywhere I go with it from the 'boy racer' brigade........

if you wish i can send some pics if you want you can e me at [ widnall.jag@blueyonder .co.uk ] i will be pleased to hear from u.........all the best and great site I know it back to front !
