Dwayne Pettis
Hi! I'm Dwayne Pettis. I'm originally from
Panama City, Fl but currently live in Cleveland, TN. I am married with 3
kids. I am a Gulf Vet with a 10% hearing disability. I have been a
mechanic for nearly 10 years and ASE Master certified for the last 4. I
have Med/Heavy truck ASE, Nissan SCOPE certified, GM Automatic Transmission
Master Certified and Cadillac XLR certified. I
bought my SE about 3 years ago as just a hull. I built the '68-'71?
Olds 350 4bbl installed the complete power train myself. I had no idea
what Y-84 stood for on the cowl tag until I ran across this clubs web
site. None of the original parts were left in the car but some seat
belts and the dash. I have stripped down nearly 13 other cars to get it
to the point it is in some of the pictures. Around the 1st of Feb 2004
the end of the world came. I put the car up on a lift and found the
drivers side body mounts have rusted out and are irreparable.
I disassembled the car and it for parts. My kids are not happy with me
to say the least. They made me promise that as soon as my motorcycle is
paid for i will buy another Bandit. Hopefully that wont be hard to keep.
I'd like to thank the members for all the help they provided me in my
quest to rebuild the SE.
