I bought my first Trans Am when I was in high school, a carousel red 1976 455, 4-speed model I found for sale in Denver. I sold the car when I was living on the east coast and in the process of moving to Boston. No where to park it that I could afford! Have been looking for another ’76 off and on since then. Found this ’76 LE for sale in 2010 and thought it would be a good project car. It is a 455, 4-speed car with every option available except for the rear console. However, the car was in pretty rough shape and I am in the process of a complete frame off rebuild. The car is currently stripped down to the uni-body which is in the body shop as I write this in early 2011. Should have all body work complete by May when reassembly can begin in earnest. Hope to have the project largely finished by the end of this year.
