I am the proud owner of a Pontiac Historic Services 1976 50th Anniversary Edition with Hurst Hatches documented Trans Am. I bought her just last weekend but have gotten the PHS to make sure of what I was buying is the real McCoy. My kids and wife named her "Virginia". She has just 20,918 miles on her. She has a few modifications from original that I would like to point out. In 1977 the original owner put headers & sidepipes, locking hood pins, and installed an edlebrock intake manifold. They kept the original intake and exhaust manifolds and I got them with the deal. The rest of her is original including the paint. And if the A/C only needs a charge everything works! I hope that I have done my homework for I have been looking for this car for 15 years since having one as a kid.
I have taken pictures of the PHS Documentation that I recieved. I found the original buildsheet which shows a Y82 on it with the car being sent to Hurst Performance for the Hatch work. I think the $35.00 PHS purchase before I bought the car went to good use. It told me exactly what I already knew! Thanks to your sight and Brett Cambell from www.78ta.com. You have both been an valuable resource to me and I thank you so much.
